April 2nd – In conjunction with the Defense Counsel of Rhode Island, the RI Association for Justice is presenting a seminar entitled Civility & Zealous Advocacy with panelists Associate Justice Daniel A. Procaccini, Joyce A. Faraone, Lauren D. Wilkins, Vincent D. Morgera, and Brooks R. Magratten.  The event is April 2nd from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at the Providence Marriott.  Join the group for dinner, network with colleagues, have some fun and earn 2 cle credits in ethics. April 6th – Join the Mass Bar for a CLE course on Fundamentals of Effective Direct and Cross-Examination: Course #: CLW09 on Monday, April 6, 4 – 7 p.m. at the MBA, 20 West St, Boston.  “Hear firsthand tips from top attorneys to help you be more effective in the courtroom. Learn the essential issues and techniques of preparing your witness for direct examination and for the other side’s cross-examination. Topics include when and whether to cross, how to effectively examine your own witness, techniques relevant to specific forums (e.g., jury trials, bench trials, administrative tribunals, arbitrations) and a view from the bench.”   The event is featuring program chair Jeffrey N. Catalano, Esq. from Todd & Weld, Boston

April 9th – Then, on April 9th, the RI Association for Justice, in conjunction with Forge Consulting, is holding a Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm at McFadden’s for new lawyers to find out about RIAJ and its members.
